covid compensation for employers in Germany, parent rant
We've just been told our employer won't be compensated for our missing working hours. The reasoning is: We could have used emergency care! Instead, we worked for 2 1/2 months from home, effectively just about 50% of our hours.
We had been told that emergency care is for *emergencies*. Not for all people who need child care. I mean, what does the government think WHY our little one is in child care? So we can go to the fucking spa!?

@TQ well, I'm self-employed, so I managed to get some compensation for the first part of 2020. But it's not as if that made up for lost income.

@jens Whoa, that's incredibly unfair.
We are also both working. We could have used emergency care, if we had only known we *were* a case for emergency care! But that's not what they told us, right? They said: Stay the fuck home. I am so angry!
